Supermarkets and shops open on 25 April, which are throughout Italy: the Corriere.it list

Tuesday 25 April, Liberation Day, a national holiday and, if schools and offices are closed, many supermarkets and shops have chosen to remain open and available to customers. Let’s see which ones and at what times.

Esselunga, Lidl and Conad

All Esselunga stores, around 172 throughout the Italian territory, have confirmed the opening hours continuously from 8 to 20. Some, located in less populous cities, could make an exception with reduced hours. On the official website of the supermarket it is possible to check all the availability for each location. The Lidl chain will also open its doors to consumers. Hours vary according to the shops and can be consulted on the website. As far as Conad is concerned, the decision to open or not and at what times (usually between 7 and 21) is up to the members. We therefore recommend that you inquire in advance at the supermarket itself.

The openings of Coop

With regard to Coop, the situation varies according to the territory. For example, hypermarkets and supermarkets in Lombardy will be open full hours, but some stores will be open for half a day. Also in Liguria all the shops will be available to customers, while they will remain Unicoop Tirreno and Florence closed, Alleanza 3.0, the offices in Central Italy, Novacoop (except for a supermarket) and Reno. Finally, the Coop of Amiata will do half a day. On the official Coop website it is possible to consult all the timetables in detail. From the north to Lazio, Pam’s sales outlets will also be open to the public, opening between 8 and 9 and – most continuously – closing between 20 and 22.
