Alessio Butti, commissioner of Fratelli d’Italia in Novi Ligure (Alessandria), namesake of the undersecretary to the Prime Minister, was relieved of his post. The decision was made yesterday evening following some interventions on social media in which Butti declared that he was not sensitive “to the lgbt beatings and to the appeals against homophobia and other amenities that a certain culture wants to impose on us”. “Pederasts – we read – can shell rosaries in bursts, even obtain avalanches of votes, but they remain outcasts”. In Novi Ligure today we vote (in the ballot) for the mayor. Butti, yesterday evening, denied the contents of the speech and spoke of “tampering” with his profile: “I have respect – he declared – for the LGBT community, including many of my friends and acquaintances. These are statements that I deprecate and that do not represent my thinking».
