Silvio Berlusconi and his Milan: from via Volturno to major real estate projects, his home has always been here

The first house, in via Volturno 34, Isola district, Silvio Berlusconi has never forgotten, so much so that a few years ago one evening he showed up under that building, with the curiosity of seeing the new tenants, but leaving without ringing, to do not disturb. The Milanese story of Silvio Berlusconi – who was born in Milan on 29 September 1936 – begins there, in a house which, he said, was opposite the headquarters of the Communist Party. He slept in the living room, the family of Luigi and Rosa Berlusconi spread but there was little money, with the war just over and the family back in the city after being displaced, like so many.
