Sicily is adrift: a billion euro hole. And Schifani seeks help from Giorgetti

Sicily is a raft dangerously adrift. Next Saturday the regional budget will be subjected to the equalization judgment of the Court of Auditors, which in recent weeks has already challenged Schifani for a “hole” worth one billion. If the dire predictions were confirmed, it would mean – more or less – the freezing of spending and the cutting of some essential services (to be drawn by lot from the next maneuver). To avoid all this, the governor of Forza Italia – or rather, of a part of Forza Italia – has moved forward. And it was received by the Minister of Economy, Giancarlo Giorgettiwhich in the meantime is trying to scramble to find financial coverage for the state budget law which is starting its process in Parliament.
