The Crippa family is confirmed as one of the richest in Italy. Thanks both to the sprint capitalization of its jewel Technoprobe, a company specialized in chip operation tests and one of the suppliers of the giant Nvidia, and to the recent sale of shares by the Crippas for a value of 181.8 million euros. The shares sold amount to 4.20% of the company’s capital and were placed at a price per share of 7.20 euro. The market value of the company then reached 4.4 billion with the proprietary package worth around 3.3. Reason why the founder Giuseppe Crippa and family appear at 12nd place in the ranking of Italian billionaires published by Forbes.

The operation

After the sale, T-Plus, the Crippa family holding company, continues to hold 67.90% of the share capital. With the sale of the shares, the sons of the founder, Cristiano Alessandro Crippa, Roberto Alessandro Crippa and Monica Crippa hold 7.10% of the capital, equal to approximately 8.12% of the voting rights, while CEO Stefano Felici exclusively retains the investment through T-Plus.

The history of the company and the billionaire founder

From the listing, which dates back to February 2022, the company from Cernusco Lombardone, founded by the entrepreneur Giuseppe Crippa in 1996 after a 35-year experience in STMicroelectronics, has grown significantly. It has scored a +19% in the last month alone. After all, the horizon for tech companies is expanding with growing investments in Ai and machine learning. Furthermore, the Brianza group is among the very few companies in the world to offer electromechanical interfaces, the so-called Probe Cards, to test the functioning of the chips. A business that proved to be profitable: Crippa himself, who left the position of CEO in 2017 and the leadership of the company to his three children, became a billionaire in 2022 after the group’s listing. And today he sits in the Olympus of the richest people in the country.
