The 19-year-old was attacked near the Pio Albergo Trivulzio, in the Milanese capital, by two North Africans who stole his mobile phone. Then returned the following day to the police by an Egyptian trader

Federico Salvini, son of Matteo, deputy prime minister and infrastructure minister, was the victim of an attack last Friday in Milan, near the Pio Albergo Trivulzio, north of the city. Two North African citizens allegedly approached the 19-year-old and ordered him to hand over his cell phone to them, armed with bottle shards. Salvini would not have resisted, telling his father what happened as soon as he got home.

The searches for the two men were immediately launched by the Police Headquarters, activated by the minister’s escort. But the cell phone was only found the following day, 24 December. And the decisive factor would have been a call from a merchant of Egyptian origin, stationed in the San Siro district. Who would have received the cell phone from one of the two attackers, and would have immediately alerted the police, who returned the phone to Salvini.

“It happened to him as, unfortunately, it happens to many in Milan”, commented Salvini father, as sources from the League know. “Luckily nobody was hurt.”
