Salvini and Zelenski’s presence in Sanremo: “I hope the festival remains reserved for music”

“We hope that Sanremo will remain the festival of Italian song and nothing else”. Thus the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matthew Salviniin the light of the announcement of the intervention, with a video message, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the San Remo Festival.

“They will have made their assessments, what I hope is that the war will end as soon as possible and that the stage of the city of flowers will remain reserved for music”, says Salvini, adding that if he has time to watch the Festival “it will be to listen to songs and not to hear anything else” something I think everyone expects.

Pressed by reporters, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Homi Fair, on the decision to host the Ukrainian president, Salvini replies: “I don’t judge. It’s the last week of the electoral campaign and if I have time to watch Rai Uno it will be to listen to songs, not to listen to anything else”. “I love the Italian song,” adds the minister and leader of the League. “I’m a lover of the old-fashioned festival. I’m not saying who I hope will win otherwise I’ll damage it and will certainly come last. I have my preferences but in the singing field, not in other fields”.

As for Zelenski, Salvini closes the topic with a joke: “I don’t know how he sings, I have other preferences”.
