Although the acronym is perhaps not as brilliant: Clep. It means Essential Performance Levels Committee. The Lep, again for the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies, are the services that the Italian Republic undertakes to provide to all its citizens in exchange for taxes. Therefore, CLEP will be the body that will have to concretely establish the costs and needs of each of the public services, in support of the Government Control Room for differentiated regional Autonomies. The 61 members of the Committee, coming from the scientific community and institutions and, as stated in the Calderoli bill, “of well-known competence and proven experience”, will be divided into ten working groups, each with its own areas of expertise. The president of the technical-scientific committee is the illustrious jurist and former minister Sabino Cassese.
