This is the phenomenon described by Mike Galeotti in his “The Weaponisation of Everything” (Yale University Press, 2022), according to whom in the contemporary world, characterized by very strong interdependence but also by an equally tough clash for global leadership, anything can be used as a weapon, regardless of its intrinsic nature. However, it is another matter to determine whether Wagner is able to realize this aspiration and with what results. As far as we know, at the moment, the hypothesis is founded but to be verified in qualitative and quantitative terms.
