This, in a nutshell, is the result of the analysis of the REgions2030 Observatory «Authorizations for renewables: the picture in 2023» in a period in which the energy transition is crucial, especially with the acceleration towards the electric car, definitively approved by Brussels since 2035. In 2022, 4.3 Gigawatts of solar panels (equal to 4,300 Megawatts) and 424 MW of wind turbines were authorized. «The authorization issue – comments Tommaso Barbetti, partner of Elemens – is taking on a different dimension for wind and photovoltaic power: solar, albeit with strong regional differences, sees its numbers improve, while the wind power plants authorized in 2022 were even less than in 2021».
