The 5 Star Movement is ready to say “no” to the hypothesis of a third term that would be making way for the Campania Region regarding the election of the president. The former president of the Chamber, Roberto Fico said it today. «For a person like me who has spent 10 years in Parliament with two terms, the rules of the Movement that I have married are clear on the third term. I have embraced this rule and therefore I know that the 5 Star Movement disagrees with the project in the Campania Region», were his words commenting on the hypothesis of a law of the Region that would allow Vincenzo De Luca to run as candidate also in 2025, canceling the current limit of two mandates.
“We are in charge of the city and we take our responsibilities”
On the sidelines of the budget of the first year in the government of the city of Naples with the mayor Gaetano Manfredi, when asked about his possible candidacy in the 2025 regional elections, when he will be without an elected office for three years, Roberto Fico said: «Now I’m interested in presenting the balance sheet of the Movement in Naples after years of work to do the right things. Now we are in government and we take our responsibilities, not working on spot emergencies but structurally on the future of Naples, with measures that the municipal council is now doing in the best way ».
