Article 10 of the manoeuvre
Article 10 of the 2023 budget maneuver provides for the establishment of a service to reduce electricity consumption entrusted by Terna on a competitive basis, through a procedure open to all customers or groups of customers. We expect a voluntary, responsible contribution from everyone. We need attention to reduce energy consumption by implementing more careful behaviors, said al Corriere della Sera the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. The companies’ consumption will therefore be cut on a voluntary basis, suitably incentivized with a system of auctions conducted and coordinated by Terna. These are the so-called voluntary interruptible utilities, whose suspension of energy supply is established on the basis of a remuneration incentive which is paid by general taxation and contained in one of the coverages contained in the financial annex of the Budget law.
