Rai, Nicola Rao is the new director of Tg2: he takes the place of Sangiuliano

Nicholas Rao he is the new director of Tg2. The journalist launches the position of deputy director of Tg1 and takes the place of Gennaro Sangiulianowho became Minister of Culture, after the interim from the end of October of Charles Pilieci. The appointment was ratified today during the board of directors meeting under the chairmanship of Marinella Soldi who gave a favorable opinion to the proposal of the managing director of Rai Carlo Fuortes.

Who is Nicola Rao

Rao, deputy director of Tg1 since 27 September 2021, made his debut in Rai in 2003, again on Tg2, as a parliamentary journalist. Over the years he then obtained the role of deputy political editor. From 1 February 2010 to 30 September 2017 he held the position of head of the editorial staff of the Tgr Lazio, with the title of central editor-in-chief, to then turn to the regional journalistic masthead of Rai. A direction that he maintained from 1 October 2017 to 26 December 2021. Before joining state TV, he began his career, again as a parliamentary journalist, within the Adnkronos news agency, abandoned in 2003.
