Priolo, the largest refinery in Italy passes from Lukoil to the Cypriots of Goi Energy – Corriere.it

Even if in extra time (the closing was expected by the end of March), Goi Energy closed the game and bought Isab di Priolo, the largest refining plant in Italy owned by the Russian group Lukoil. Yesterday the Cypriot company announced that it has completed the acquisition of the entire capital. The price – which has not been communicated – is just over 1.2 billion. The operation received the authorization of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, pursuant to the legislation on the Golden Power. And it was precisely the passage of the Golden power that delayed the final signing, with the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy having extended the procedure in order to be able to make further investigations. Goi has appointed a new board of directors of Isab, with president Angelo Taraborrelli, vice president Michael Bobrov and directors Ioannis Psichogios and Massimo Nicolazzi. Yesterday Isab and Trafigura signed long-term commercial agreements which will guarantee continuity in the supply of raw materials and in the purchase of finished products.
