The 5-star Movement and the Democratic Party also fell, respectively in second and third place in the ranking of consensus. The pentastellati, today at 17.4 percent, lose two decimal places. other majority parties
For the other majority parties, there is a slight recovery of Lega and Forza Italia. The Northern League rises by 0.2 points to 8.5 percent. Forza Italia also gains two decimal places, settling at 6.2 percent. Among the parties surveyed by SWG, the most consistent growth is that of the Third Pole. The Action-Italia Viva tandem rises by 0.6 points, increasingly narrowing the gap that separates it from Salvini’s party. The Third Pole (8.2 percent) is located just three decimals from the Carroccio.
Confidence in government declines
There is a clear decline in trust in the government, of which FdI is the main party. Only 41 percent of those interviewed declare that they have “a lot” or “enough” confidence in the executive. A drop of 4 points, all concentrated in the last month, in which the government had to deal with the approval of the budget law and the non-renewal of the cut on excise duties, without forgetting the wiretapping case raised in recent days. Elements that could have compromised the consensus of the government, also reducing the percentage of Italians who consider the executive’s action “effective”.
