Pnrr, from Palazzo Chigi: we do not intend to use funds from the Plan to produce weapons

“Italy does not intend to use Pnrr funds to produce weapons”. They affirm it, questioned by theHandlesources from Palazzo Chigi adding that “Italy, in coordination with its allies, supports Ukraine on a political and military level. The government is in favor of strengthening the capacity of the European defense industry – they explain – also with a view to greater strategic autonomy of the EU. Italy is in favor of a flexible use of European funds, including those of the Pnrr, but the latter is a strategic investment instrument and not a vehicle for financing the production of munitions or armaments”.
