Meanwhile, yesterday evening, in some cities such as Naples there were long queues in front of petrol stations, in the rush to fill up before the stop at 7pm.

Today’s assembly and the new fuel hikes

Today at 11 a meeting of the executive groups of the category organizations is scheduled, at the Capranichetta hall in Piazza Montecitorio. The meeting, the acronyms announced in a statement, is open to deputies and senators from all parliamentary groups. Meanwhile, this morning there were new increases in the price lists of the recommended fuels of the major brands. The national averages of prices charged at the pump also rose strongly, with do-it-yourself petrol above the 1.85 euro/litre mark and diesel one step away from 1.9 euro/litre. Levels not seen since the end of July.

Faib’s appreciation

The critical position of Fegica and Figisc

Fegica and FigiscConfcommercio have a different opinion, acknowledging that the announcement of the start of the table aimed at restructuring the distribution network and restoring a certain regulatory plan goes in the right and desired direction. But the hypothesized changes to the decree, in addition to not being sufficient, are now in the hands of Parliament. Despite the strike, some essential services are maintained, as required by the public service strike commission’s self-regulatory code. The plants directly managed by the owners in Italy, according to Fegica, out of 22,000 distributors there are a couple of thousand directly managed by the oil companies and for this “they will reasonably remain open”. For example, the plants belonging to Asnali, the autonomous national association of free entrepreneurs, whose members will not join any form of protest, will remain open.
