Minimum pensions: increases from July
The increases in the minimum pensions envisaged by the Maneuver will take effect from July. After seven months of waiting, the law passed by the government, which was supposed to start from January 2023, will come into force. The calculated increase is 1.5 percentage points for 2023, raised to 6.4 for those aged 75 or over, and 2.7 percentage points for 2024. But there is reasoning already on further increases, it remains to verify the compatibility of the proposals with the rather narrow budget margins. From 1 July, the 1.3 million pensioners who receive the minimum, in addition to the adjustment of the allowance, will receive the arrears of the months ranging from January to June 2023.
