Goodbye to Quota 102

From 1 January 2023 Quota 102 will no longer be in force and, therefore, those who would have matured the requirements next year will no longer be able to retire with 64 years of age and 38 years of contributions. The new exit from work brings down the age, 62 years, but raises the minimum contribution ceiling: 41 years. The women’s option also changes, the early retirement reserved only for female workers who from next year must be caregivers or disabled to access the measure, whose personal data requirement also penalizes those who do not have children compared to those who are mothers. But if Quota 103 sends Quota 102 to the attic, as the latter had done with Quota 100, in reality both of these now “old” measures designed as temporary alternatives to the Fornero Law can still be used in 2023 and in the following years, i.e. a long time after their suspension. In fact, the legislation fixes the expiry of these two instruments only for the achievement of the requirements and not for the presentation of the pension application. All in all, the pension package weighs in 2023 for about 850 millionincluding the expense for the revaluation increased by the minimums (210 million).
