Six regional councilors, including an iron Deluchian, and two former parliamentarians are asking for the head of Pd commissioner Francesco Boccia. They are the group leader Mario Casillo, Bruna Fiola, Massimiliano Manfredi, the president of the regional council Gennaro Oliviero and the deluchian Franco Picarone. The letter to Letta
The signatories sent a letter to the national secretary Enrico Letta and to his right-hand man Marco Meloni, stating that since 21 June Senator Boccia has held the position of Regional Commissioner. A few days ago Boccia, as per his right, chose to support the candidacy of the honorable Schlein, accepting the role of coordinator of the latter’s congressional campaign and releasing numerous interviews and statements in support of the candidate Schlein. In short, for councilors and former parliamentarians there would be a conflict of interest, this new condition of his places him outside the perimeter of impartiality and neutrality inherent in his function of guarantor. The signatories hoped that he would take a step back, but this did not happen, despite the fact that the political incompatibility between the two functions, which overlap even temporarily, is completely evident.
