In the case of the streets named after the Fallen for the Liberation, the “learned” of today shows itself to be a fragile city, like any province. Like Italy, which no longer knows how to recognize the historical testimony of the Resistance

Years go by, but we continue to celebrate April 25th badly. The left knows that underneath the right would like to dilute the sense of Liberation in the feelings of other national holidays (Meloni would say: patriotic); deep down the right knows that the left would still like to have a party party (Schlein would say: partisan). These unresolved (and in part well-founded) mutual accusations are the background to a recent controversy in Bologna on the subtitling to be given to the streets named after the partisans. Emblematic of the cultural moment we are experiencing.
