The time for discussion can no longer be postponed. “I think the time has come. Because now there is a law in the House desired by the majority which requires reflection. I also understand the instrumentality of their battle, and for this very reason we must arrive at a shared position, to be opposed to the right”. The senator of the Democratic Party Valeria Valente, on the subject of gestation for others, has very clear ideas, and therefore asks the secretary Elly Schlein to pass from words to deeds. He refers, speaking to Il Foglio, to the proposal of the Melonian Caroline Varchi, passed in the Justice Commission in the Chamber and arriving in the Chamber within a couple of weeks. The bill aims to make gestation for others a “universal crime”, prosecutable in Italy regardless of where the practice took place.
