Enterprise Minister Adolfo Urso has announced an ad hoc bill to support Italian companies, following the French model and mobilizing around 1 billion euros. In the text, there will also be a new socio-economic school address

A national sovereign fund to support Italian companieswithin a package of measures ad hoc dedicated to the made in Italy supply chain: these are the news that the minister Adolfo Urso announced they will be discussed during the next Council of Ministers, scheduled for Thursday. The model Urso looks to is that of the French government, which has recently financed a program worth almost 2 billion euros, 500 million of which from the state. Obviously, the figures of the Italian fund are not yet known, but there is talk of the possibility of mobilizing a capital of about 1 billion euroswith the contribution of Cassa depositi e prestiti and the professional social security funds.

At the center is the commodity node: the fund will channel investments to support the supply by companies in particular of rare earths, an indispensable component for the green transition and for the competitiveness of the Italian sector. This is exactly what the Minister of the Economy had talked about a few months ago Giancarlo Giorgetti with the French counterpart, Bruno Le Maire. In the declarations at the end of the meetings, Le Maire had hypothesized the creation of a joint fund between the two countries: now Italy seems to have chosen to go its own way following in the French footsteps, but industrial collaboration with Paris remains a priority.

In the government’s bill, according to Urso, there will also be room for training. Of the possibility of establishing a high school entirely dedicated to made in Italywith a juridical-economic projection that prepares students for entry into Italian companies, was already discussed at the time of Vinitaly. Giorgia Meloni she said she was enthusiastic about the proposal, “because there is nothing more deeply linked to our culture than what these kids are able to study, hand down and carry on”. An address that will probably become a reality for the 2024-2025 school year.
