Nexi, revenues at 741 million. Double-digit profit increases for Banca Generali and Ifis-Corriere.it

They keep smiling banking quarterly. Yesterday Nexi opened the day, whose accounts saw merchant solutions push revenues by 9% to 741.7 million. The branch accounts for 56% of turnover and has grown by double figures (+11%) in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland (managed transactions totaled 4,073 million). The CEO of Nexi, Paolo Bertoluzzotherefore confirmed the guidance for the year, explaining that the acquisitions of merchant portfolios of banks, which the company could complete in the next 12 months, are mostly of “small and medium size”.

Also Banca Generali expects to respect the growth trajectory: «We are at an all-time high in customer portfolio, with over 70% of these generating recurring commissions. We look cautiously at the economic-financial challenges on the markets for the coming months but we are confident that we can continue to grow in line with the targets of the plan”, said the CEO general manager Gian Maria Mossa, commenting on the consolidated net profit of 83.1 million euro as at 31 March (+22%). For the asset manager, the interest margin shot up to 71 million (+215%) while total assets grew to a record 85.9 billion.

For Banca Ifis the quarter closed with profits up by 31.4% to 45.9 million euroand turnover increased by 8% compared to the first quarter of 2022, thanks to cash recoveries on purchased NPL portfolios and the correlation of trade receivables with rate hikes and business acceleration thanks to digital.
