The effects of rising interest rates on mortgages

If today, 15 June, the ECB were to announce, as planned, a new increase in the cost of money by 25 basis points, mortgage rates would rise again. According to the simulations of Facile.it, the increase could translate into an increase in the installment of almost 275 euros compared to January 2022 (+60%). Furthermore, looking at market expectations (Euribor futures updated to 7 June 2023), experts predict that the 3-month Euribor will reach its peak in September 2023 and the rate of the average mortgage examined would be close to 5.10% , with an installment of around 743 euros (+285 euros compared to the initial one).
