With yesterday’s vote by the energy ministers, the negotiations on the cars that can be sold in the European Union from 2035 closed. Now that the road seems to be traced, more than one doubt remains about the scientific assessments that have guided the Commission’s choices so far. The thrust is entirely concentrated on the electric one, even if the internal combustion engine remains on track thanks to the agreement reached with Germany, which obtained the Commission’s commitment to formalize an exception for neutral emission fuels, in particular for e-fuel.
