Francesco Roberti (Forza Italia), an engineer by profession, was mayor of Termoli before becoming the unitary candidate for the regional elections in Molise in the centre-right. Born in Montefalcone del Sannio (CB), 56 years old, he is an engineer registered with the order of the province of Campobasso, designer and tester of structural works, technological systems and software development for industrial plants. Also an expert in the design of renewable energy systems, he carried out professional consultancy and collaboration activities for public administrations before entering politics.

Mayor and Provincial President

Francesco Roberti was elected city councilor in Termoli for the first time in 2001, holding the position of group leader, president of the council commission. From 9 June 2019 he was elected mayor of Termoli and then, in September, president of the Province of Campobasso.

The support of the united centre-right

After outgoing governor Donato Toma’s decision not to run for a second term, the center-right rallied around Roberti. In particular, all of the center-right supported Roberti’s candidacy: Brothers of Italy, Lega, Forza Italia, UDC, DC, Noi di Centro (which includes candidates from Italia Viva) and three civic lists.
