MILAN. Vittorio Sgarbi has ten days to decide between the office of regional councilor and that of undersecretary for culture. In fact, this morning the Pirellone hall voted unanimously in a secret ballot for the report of the president of the electoral council, Luca Ferrazzi, thus acknowledging the incompatibility between the two positions held by Sgarbi, who was absent from the council meeting today. It will be he who will have to opt for one of the two within this period of time otherwise the role of regional councilor will lapse.

In the last electoral round of 12 and 13 February, the art critic had been elected in the constituency in Milan on the Noi Moderati list, thus entering by right among the benches of the Pirellone. Should he decide, as announced on several occasions, to keep his post in Rome, he will be replaced at Palazzo Pirelli by Nicolas Gallizzi. Since the regional council will not meet next week, if Sgarbi decides to give up the Lombard office, he will no longer be seen in the presence of the Pirellone. On 15 March, the Undersecretary for Culture was one of the first to appear in the courtroom in Milan, attacking the Lombard coordinator of Forza Italia Licia Ronzulli, accused of having blocked her appointment as Councilor for Culture of the new Fontana junta, a position which is was covered by Francesca Caruso, a member of the Brothers of Italy considered close to the current of the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa. On that occasion Sgarbi had said “If they had really asked me to be a commissioner, Fontana, Berlusconi, I would think about it for two or three hours, so in that condition I would have evaluated, I could even accept it”.
