The premier will not be in Munich at Saturday’s security conference and will not meet the president of the European Parliament Metsola tomorrow

They were canceled all forthcoming international engagements by Giorgia Meloni for health reasons. There will be no meeting, scheduled for tomorrow at 11.30 at Palazzo Chigi, between the Prime Minister and the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. Melons Saturday will not go to Monaco for the 59th security conference which opens on Friday and will continue until next Sunday. The conference will be attended, among others, by the president of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen, the French president Emmanuel Macron, the vice president of the United States Kamala Harris, the prime minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak. Palazzo Chigi specifies that the two engagements have been canceled “due to the persistence of flu symptoms”.

Last Monday, February 13, Meloni had canceled the commitments on the agenda due to a flu that apparently still continues: the premier today did not preside over the Council of Ministers from Palazzo Chigi but connected from home.

Among the forthcoming canceled international commitments, reports the newspaper Repubblica, there would also be a trip to India in the coming weeks. The mission to Kyiv scheduled before the anniversary of the Russian invasion of 24 February remains on the agenda. .
