Meloni's attack: "The magistrates oppose the European election campaign"

ROME. Everything she didn’t want to happen. Everything she had promised herself would not happen again. He had sworn that he would close the long season of confrontation with the judiciary. That infinite and exhausting melee between state powers that was the fire of Silvio Berlusconi’s governments. Giorgia Meloni, with the fame of one who defends the robes, launched the harshest attack against the judges. Net, explicit, in a note that bears the signature of “sources of Palazzo Chigi”, but which in the role of her is obliged to be registered: «It is legitimate to ask whether a section of the judiciary has chosen to play an active opposition role. And you have thus decided to inaugurate the electoral campaign for the European elections prematurely ». Very hard, because the premier is burned by what happened in less than 48 hours. The case involving the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanché, and that of the Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Delmastro. And she writes it clearly in the press release, starting from what she cares most about. And that is Delmastro, under investigation for having publicly denounced acts referring to the story of the imprisonment of the anarchist Alfredo Cospito which were covered by secrecy and of which the investigating judge asked for the forced indictment: «In a trial of parties it is not usual that the party public requests the dismissal and the judge of the preliminary hearing orders that the proceedings begin”.

Similar speech for Santanché, who appeared in the Senate chamber on Wednesday reading in the newspaper Domani that she was being investigated: «In a proceeding in which the investigative documents are classified, it is against the law to learn that you are being investigated by the newspapers, curiously on the day in which he is called to report to Parliament, after having requested information from the judicial authority”. In reality, the request would have taken place in early November, in the initial three months of the investigation in which the judicial authority is not required to reveal anything. Santanché could have reiterated the request after the three months, but as far as we know she did not.
