The siege has been going on for some time, but it has never been more pressing. Stellantis is in the sights, but there is no escaping the belief that the “big target” is its reference shareholder, John Elkann. The government, starting with Adolfo Urso, Minister of Made in Italy; then prominent personalities in the Fiat world of the last few decades such as Luca di Montezemolo; industry analysts, international consultants, in short, a range that is rarely as vast and diverse, criticizes the strategies of the automotive group. Most protest because France has a privileged role, thanks to the presence of the state in the capital, they argue that Italy has only folding seats left before being abandoned altogether, they complain that taxpayers’ money ended up abroad, in London where profits are collected and in Amsterdam where privileged shares can be used to command a lot while spending little.
