Maneuver: the parliamentary process is underway

After the green light from the State Accounting Office and the signature of the head of state, Sergio Mattarella, the Budget Law was sent to the Chamber, where the parliamentary process will start on Friday 2 December. Times are tight, the Maneuver must be approved in Parliament by 31 December to prevent the provisional exercise from being triggered. The government has only four weeks ahead. The government then urged the majority to limit the amendments, which will be voted on in the Budget Commission between Thursday 15 and Sunday 18 December. The deadline for their presentation, set last Monday by the bureau of the commission, is Wednesday 7 December. The bureau of the commission has also indicated a ceiling of 450 amendments reported (200 for the majority, 250 for the opposition), to which a quota reserved for the Misto group and for the corrections proposed by the sector commissions must be added, to avoid exceed the set deadlines. Let’s see what the next steps will be.
