Lufthansa wants Ita: here is the offer. The Meloni government could play bingo

He wanted a state flag carrier and instead Giorgia Meloni might end up signing the sale of Ita Airways to Lufthansa. The German airline has submitted a letter of intent to the economy ministry to acquire a stake in the Italian national carrier. Initially it would proceed the purchase of a minority share and then agree on the sale of the remaining shares. Should the parties decide to sign the memorandum of understanding, negotiations would then proceed on an exclusive basis to work out the details. And it will be these that make the difference.
