“Our candidate for the leadership of the Lombardy Region is still Attilio Fontana, the governor who has led the region in these difficult years with very positive results. We re-nominated him with full merit and I am sure that the Lombard voters will once again want to rely on his experience, his competence, his great work capacity and, why not, his discreet and elegant style”. A message that also serves to keep the point, in a complicated moment for the party – see the announcement of the last farewell to the Azzurri, that of the regional councilor Alan Rizzi – in the balancing act with the other centre-right parties. “I also want to underline that we at Forza Italia have participated convincingly and decisively in the Government of the Region in these five years of great commitment – he added – And this participation allows us to ask head-on for the vote for Forza Italia and for the president Fountain”. Remember, Berlusconi, that “our Lombardy is the most important region of Italy in terms of the number of inhabitants” and that “in the government of Lombardy as in the national government we have been and are an essential and decisive component. The lists are practically closed, even if the final decision on the name that should guide the list in Milan is still missing, but Berlusconi assures that “as for the next arrival, the experience of our outgoing directors, of which we are absolutely proud, will join the spirit initiative of the new candidates that we are selecting on the basis of our quality criteria. Our lists will be made up, as always, of men and women of the industry, of people who have demonstrated that they have not only the necessary preparation and competence, but also the ability to concretely achieve the objectives that have been proposed in work, study, social commitment”.

A message that closes with a wish: “2023 must be the year of recovery for our region and for our country. For the world we hope it will be the year of a newfound peace in justice, in law, and above all in freedom”.
