The former magistrate Gherardo Colombo, the founder of PizzAut, Nico Acampora, the former president of the NGO Emergency, Cecilia Strada, and MEP Francesca Balzan will be part of Pierfrancesco Majorino’s future government team.

This was announced by the candidate of the center-left coalition and the M5s himself in a video posted on his social channels: “We will add others – he adds – because I would like to have men and women of great value by my side”.

Majorino talks about an essential theme for him, which in the event of victory will be at the center of his mandate, namely “the reconstruction of the health service”. Given that his priority will be to “strengthen public health” by putting in place “a major reform for the reorganization of the social and health service”, for this reason he will keep the health delegation to himself: “The president must be the first person responsible for this ground – explains Majorino – I will obviously make use of technical figures, but I think it should be the President of the Region who puts his face to the strengthening of the health system in the name of the public interest”.

Gherardo Colombo will put his skills at the service of the future government team led by Majorino “for the respect of the culture of legality and transparency, for that respect for the rules that must permeate the institutions”.

Acampora’s help will then be fundamental for “the promotion of the rights of people with disabilities, for the full active inclusion of girls and boys with disabilities: we should always be alongside those who implement concrete actions on these grounds”.

Speaking of Strada, who “has been involved in the promotion of human rights in the world for some time, with actions linked to a more just world”, the candidate explains that he wants the Lombardy Region “not to close in on itself but also to have a strong planning in this direction, to promote the culture of a more just world”.

Finally, Balzan, former deputy mayor of Milan and European parliamentarian, rapporteur for the budget in the European Parliament «will help us to ensure that the contribution of investments and resources present at an international level can grow for the development of our region. I am very fond of the relationship between Lombardy and Europe. Lombardy is in Europe but does not always take advantage of the opportunities that come from there». The four names add to the availability offered yesterday by the economist Carlo Cottarelli to lead the next Development Committee in support of the future of Lombardy. «It will be a committee in which we will bring together the best to plan an intelligent growth of the Region and to support the world of the real economy» explained the candidate.
