The Democratic Party replies to the cynical tweet of the FdI regional councilor. Bonaccini: «Among the most unworthy, shame on you». Embarrassment in the center-right

Controversy on social media for the latest tweet by Vittorio Feltri who wrote on the tragedy of migrants in Cutro (67 dead): «I remind non-EU citizens of an old Italian saying: leaving is a bit like dying. Stay at home.” Bewilderment on the various political fronts, embarrassment on the centre-right. Among the response tweets from the opposition, that of the MEP of the Democratic Party, Pina Picierno: «I would like to inform the president Giorgia Meloni that this unworthy tweet is from one of her elected representatives in the Lombardy region. Bewilderment and shame.” Also Stefano Bonaccini, dem president of the Emilia-Romagna Region and former candidate for the party secretariat, reacted: «This is one of the most unworthy tweets, written by an elected member of the Brothers of Italy in the legislative assembly of the largest Italian region. Shame”.

Feltri, managing director of Free and advisor to FdI, already on February 22 he had posted on the same social network: “Ukraine and Russia who wage war behind the backs of the people both disgust me”. In another he had insulted Zelensky. On the other hand, as a candidate or elected, Feltri has launched other serious accusations or provocations. At the end of January, during the days of the electoral campaign, the one for example on Matteo Messina Denaro: “Are we sure that he is a murderer?”. Or again, as soon as he entered the Region, when alerted that he would have to preside over the first council due to seniority (later scheduled for March 15), he said: «Ah, I don’t know, it’s news that you give me, but I’ll refuse because I don’t have no desire to break my cogl…». No way, however, he will preside over it.
