So the president of the Senate just had time to place a white rose at the edge of the fountain where the names of the 309 victims of the earthquake are engraved and to spend time with a couple who, that night when the rose shook for 24 interminable seconds, lost their daughter (pregnant) and husband of the young woman. Immediately afterwards, escorted by Mayor Biondi and the President of the Region, Marsilio, La Russa reached Giorgia Meloni inside the church to attend mass, amidst the worries of the other authorities.
