The first to break the news was the Guardianbut now all the English press is talking about it: in the district of Ealing, west London, the first skyscraper for women only will rise. 15 floors, 102 apartments, reserved exclusively for single women with economic difficulties, social disadvantages, previous experiences of discrimination, abuse or violence. To be even clearer, for those who haven’t understood it: man will be banned, men will not be able to access, as some newspapers have written in the subtitles. The project will be developed by the British social housing company Women’s Pioneer Housing founded in 1920 as part of the suffragette movement. Demands for affordable women-only apartments, the CEO says, are on the rise.
