Data to decide, guarantee accessibility and simulate the choices of the Public Administration. The points that emerged at City Vision Genova

“We have a lot of data available, but they need to be put to good use. We are living in a moment of great transformation in terms of technology”. Laura Gaggero, councilor responsible for Innovation of the Municipality of Genoa was among the numerous speakers of the last stage of City Vision, organized right in the Ligurian capital. Entitled meeting ‘Governing data, governing with data’ was held at Blue District and brought together experts and representatives of the public administration around one of the most important topics for the future of cities.

In fact, during the round table we talked about how data should be placed at the center of decisions in the Public administration. Economic and human resources, also thanks to Pnrr, must be directed towards processes that improve services starting from the knowledge of citizens and the territory, always with a view to transparency and privacy protection. The event of Genoa it was created in collaboration with BBBell and was intended to bring together some of the most important realities in the area, from academia to business.

“In Genoa we talked about how fundamental information is for those who administer. During the meeting, two companies from theCity Vision Innovation District, Willeasy And Cleanwatts, who recounted how information for accessibility on the one hand and energy communities on the other are essential for building truly smart cities. The data then, as highlighted by the President of the Network of Sustainable Municipalities Valerio Lucciarini De Vincenzi, are key to establishing a city’s goals. “A municipality, of any size, needs administrators who can measure their strategy”. And you can’t do it without starting from the data.

Promoted by blum And Padua Hallwith the support of Jakala Civitas and Enel X, City Vision is a platform of events and news that aims to give voice to small and medium-sized municipalities and to those territories that need a fair, intelligent and sustainable transformation. “On the PA front, it is necessary to carry out an important work of awareness and support for public administrators, bearing in mind that the same access to Pnrr funds is linked to the fact of being able to demonstrate that they have completed the digitization of data in the cloud”, he underlined Simone Bigotti, managing director of BBBell.
