Perhaps we are at the death of the West, and if not quite death then sunset, and if not quite sunset then decline. In short, to something irreparable that pertains to our world. In this regard, the thought of some, if not all, of the greatest philosophers of our time covers a range of gradations that never borders on positive territory. According to them, for the West it’s just a matter of time or, if it isn’t, if it gets rid of it, it’s because it’s no longer the West, it’s no longer the West we know and in which we recognize ourselves.
