The Slovenian Primoz Roglic, Olympic gold medalist in the Tokyo time trial, won the twentieth stage of the Giro d'Italia, the Tarvisio-Monte Lussari Tudor ITT uphill time trial of 18.6 km and in fact also the Giro. The Jumbo-Visma champion finished with a time of 44'23" ahead of the Welshman Geraint Thomas who reaches 40" thus losing the pink jersey and with it the 2023 Giro d'Italia.
