Gianfranco Fini on trial: “On the Montecarlo house deceived and injured by the Tullianis”

“The sale of the Monte Carlo apartment was the most painful story for me, I was deceived by Giancarlo Tulliani and from his sister Elizabeth“. To say it, with regret, is the former founder of the National Alliance Gianfranco Finiheard in Rome in the context of the money laundering trial which sees him accused together, among others, with his partner Elisabetta, and with his brother-in-law Giancarlo and his father-in-law Sergio Tulliani. The legal case concerns the sale of the house in Montecarlo, bequeathed by the countess Anna Maria Colleoni to the National Alliance.

The recycling process

According to the indictment, the property was bought by Giancarlo Tulliani through various off-shore companies and thanks to the entrepreneur’s money Francesco Corallo, accused of conspiracy to embezzle, money laundering and tax evasion. An operation carried out in 2008, for just over 300 thousand euros and which with the sale of the property in 2015 yielded one million and 360 thousand dollars. Among the other defendants in the trial there is also the former member of parliament of Forza Italia Amedeo Laboccetta.

The accusation against Labboccetta

“Elisabetta’s behavior also hurt me – Fini said during the hearing – I only found out from the trial documents that she was the co-owner of the apartment and then I also learned that her brother wired her a portion of the proceeds from the sale. All facts that I didn’t know before”. Answering the questions of the defenders and the prosecutor, the former president of the Chamber added: “I was involved in this process following dozens of false statements made by Amedeo Labocetta out of a political hatred towards me, which was well known. 2010 was the year of my clash with Silvio Berlusconithe climate had become incandescent and in the eyes of many I was a target to hit”.

The reply of the former FI deputy

“Gianfranco Finish he continues to lie heavily”, Amedeo Laboccetta annoyed replies to Adnkronos. The president of the Polo Sud cultural association and former center-right deputy underlines: “I was not moved by hatred. Mine was a political initiative, which I described in minute detail in a book published in 2015 in which I accuse Finish And Giorgio Napolitano of having orchestrated a veritable coup against the Berlusconi government. I have never received any complaints or denials. Whether he now says he’s in a trial because of me or because of hatred, these are laughable allegations. We’ll see how he gets out of that affair, but in the meantime, he shouldn’t climb straws. I told the truth and it would be the case, after so many years, that Finish stop lying and tell all about those terrible years”.
