Gerardo Bianco, historical exponent of the Christian Democrats, died this morning in Rome. He was 91 years old.
He was a deputy in the Chamber for nine legislatures, from 1968 to 2006, holding various parliamentary positions, including that of group leader of the Christian Democrats. He was also minister of public education from 27 July 1990 to 13 April 1991 in the Andreotti VI government and former national secretary of the Italian People’s Party. He has also held the position of president of the former parliamentarians’ association.
