Italy is a contentious country, there is no topic – not even the invasion of a free and independent state by an imperialist power – on which a common position can be found. Yet there is a phenomenon, the country’s most serious economic emergency, on which the parties have unanimous views. Everyone agrees on inflation, but on the wrong position: the opposition to the ECB’s monetary policy. And they agree even when they argue.
