For the post-Berlusconi Forza Italia, the idea arises of adding a directorate to Tajani

Keeping a party devastated by the death of the founder together: avoiding a diaspora from parliamentary groups and shielding the government from the natural fibrillations of this transition phase, destined to last until the European elections in 2024. Antonio Tajani he tries. And therefore, in order to govern Forza Italia in a moment of great instability, he is evaluating – according to what Ansa reconstructs – the creation of a directorate that seats the different souls of the party around the same table. The idea is to give substance to the image with which the Azzurri presented themselves in the first press conference after Berlusconi’s death: Tajani, the two group leaders Licia Ronzulli And Paolo Barelli And Fulvio Martusciello. An organizational chart that will serve to keep the parliamentary groups and the European front under control. The two deputy coordinators could also sit at the command table, Alessandro Cattaneo and Anna Maria Bernini.

The crossing until June next year is long and full of unknowns and is linked to the ability of the leader in pectore to keep the different souls together, in particular that of the so-called Ronzullians targeted by the latest choices on the change of leaders of the Chamber group and the coordination of Lombardy. On paper, everyone’s will is to restart and try to keep afloat a private party of its founder and economically dependent on the Berlusconi family.

The appointment is that of the Europeans with the 4% threshold which now, with the death of Berlusconi, has become a nightmare in conversations between the Azzurri. The first stage of the new course is set for Thursday when the presidential committee of the party will meet. At that meeting, it will be decided when to set the date for the national council. The Forza Italia parliamentarian will be called to formalize Tajani’s presidency. That it is the current coordinator who has to take up the Knight’s legacy no one doubts it. And the person concerned, engaged in Molise for the electoral campaign in view of next weekend’s vote (first test without the Knight), certainly does not hold back: “Let’s go on, I do what I have to do”, he replies to those who ask him of the idea that his name (and no longer that of Berlusconi) could end up in the symbol of the party. The Foreign Minister reiterated the Berlusconi family’s support for Forza Italia, which “encourages us, encourages us and pushes us to go forward”.
