FI in Puglia is balkanized: regional councilors against parliamentarians. And Emiliano campaigns for purchases

The regional party breaks Silvio’s pax post mortem amid accusations of resignation and poisoning: casus belli the election of the classroom secretary in the Apulian parliamentarian, in which the councilor Cera, close to the deputy minister Sisto, prevails (with the Emilian votes) over the colleague Dell’Erba supported by party leaders D’Attis and Damiani

It is the first Carthaginian war between the blues after the “pax” attempt signed after the death of the leader Silvio Berlusconi. The vote for the secretary of the regional council in Bari sparked a poisonous conflict within Forza Italia Puglia, between exchanges of accusations, invectives about alleged “mess-ups” with the progressives and requests for resignation. And while the Azzurri split, the governor Michele Emiliano campaigns for purchases in the Berlusconi ranks by appointing former senator Michele Boccardi as regional coordinator of his civic acronym, “Con”. Yesterday there was a vote for the post of secretary of the regional parliament. The seat belonged to the forzisti, who, however, had two suitors inside: Napoleon Cera (in the past legislature in the majority with the Emir Mike) e Paul Dell’Erba, a new entry in the party after the departure of the most voted in Puglia, Stefano Lacatena, towards the Emilian front. In the end Cera was elected, with 21 votes, while Dell’Erba – despite being supported by an official investiture by the two regional coordinators, Mauro D’Attis and Dario Damiani – stopped at 12. The difference, in a split assembly transversally, it was directed by the governor, who pushed his followers – overcoming the limits of institutional grammar – to choose who to let the minority’s job go to, sowing panic in the opposition.
