ROME – From 5 to 15 July the Roman district of San Lorenzo hosts the Festival of Culturesevent coordinated by AMKA, an NGO with a name that in the Swahili language means wake up, get up: it calls for action, active and conscious participation, the meeting of different cultures and the desire to improve life among the populations of the southern world. The Festival is made with the contribution of the Municipality of Rome II.
10 days of concerts, exhibitions, debates. There will be ten days of concerts, debates, exhibitions, displays, presentations, workshops for children, games and dance performances that narrate the cultures of the world. The program is based on the involvement of various humanitarian organizations operating in the Roman territory, united to propose contents that put human beings and the cultures of the world at the centre, with an approach of sharing, contamination and intercultural dialogue.
