The world ranking of “paperoni” by Forbes

Compared to the first months of 2022, the asset situation of the richest people in Italy, compared to the general world ranking of Forbeshas radically changed. Out of a total of 2,668 super billionaires, there are 51 Italians in the standings, roughly the same amount as at the beginning of the year. The real changes, however, can be seen above all in the assets of the national “big guys”, which have mostly fallen perhaps due to the effect of inflation, the energy crisis and all the socio-economic consequences linked to the conflict in Ukraine. The decline in wealth has led to a real reversal of positions. Starting from the global podium: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and recently new owner of Twitter, has given the first place to Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of Lvmh, with assets of 180.5 billion dollars. Musk sits squarely behind in second place, amassing $162.9 billion in personal wealth. In third place, surprisingly, is not Jeff Bezos (who, however, drops to fourth with 109.6 billion dollars) but Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani group, a commodities trading company.
In the ranking of the richest Italian men and women, Giovanni Ferrero, sole director of the confectionery industry of Ferrero family, despite having lost about 10 positions. In second place is the stylist Giorgio Armani (albeit with a sharp drop in assets), while in third place is the leader of Forza Italia, Silvio Berlusconi.
Let’s see who are the other Italians in the world rankings Forbes.
