Fabio Pompei will lead Deloitte Italy, Greece and Malta for another four years. Since taking office in 2019, turnover in Italy has increased by +75%, while the workforce has increased from around 6,000 to 12,000 people operating in 24 offices. The Deloitte network in Italy exceeded 1.3 billion in revenues in the fiscal year that ended on May 31, 2023, with a growth of +23% compared to the previous year. «Our mission is to continue to grow and accompany Italian companies in the ecological and digital transition, generating a positive impact for the country system, in the spirit of Impact for Italy, the program launched by the Deloitte Italia network in January 2020». explains Pompeii.

4,500 hires in 4 years

«Over the next 4 years we will continue to invest in the introduction of new talents and professionals with the aim of meeting the great challenges for society and businesses such as artificial intelligence, the fight against climate change and the achievement of the objectives of the Pnrr » adds Pompeii. In the next fiscal year, the group expects to hire about 4,500 people. Among the initiatives of the last one is the launch of Deloitte Climate & Sustainability, the new company of the Deloitte network dedicated to issues related to sustainability.

Investments in the South

The group also intends to continue investing in Southern Italy: over 450 new hires are expected in Bari for the Next Hub, the project aimed at university graduates and graduates who want to contribute to the digital transformation of Italy. In Naples, the collaboration with the Federico II University continues with the Digita Academy and Operation Talents. Furthermore, last fiscal year, the group contributed to the birth of the San Bartolomeo project, launched in Rome by the Gemelli Isola Tiberina Hospital, in collaboration with the Community of Sant’Egidio to facilitate access to health services for people with frailties.
