So much decided to push the singer-songwriter from Livorno Enrico Nigiotti to create a wine and dedicate it to his grandfather who as a child took him to work in the vineyard, spending the best time with him. Nonno Hollywood, the artist’s first wine, a Bolgheri Doc 2020 bearing the name of the Sanremo song, will be released in December. In addition, Nigiotti is a true “wine lover”, a lover of Bolgheri Doc Volpolo, produced by Podere Sapaio.

At the Nardi wine shop, in Livorno, he was nicknamed “little fox” for this passion of his. Galeotta was a story published on social media with the bottle. From there the invitation to the cellar and the birth of the “joint venture” with the company from which the singer obtains grapes to produce a limited edition of about 2,000 bottles. “A wine that comes from a desire – says Nigiotti – My grandfather was a superhero to me, I lived intense years with him, before music. I discovered the land on the Riparbella farm where it produced oil and wine for family consumption. We have been together for many years: I lived his everyday life, his authentic, folkloric, colorful Leghorn stamp, something unique that has never abandoned me. So after the music I also wanted to dedicate a wine to him, to pay homage to the teachings received and the great value in respect for the land that he passed on to me. I was looking for a strong but true wine like him and I think I succeeded “. Nonno Hollywood is made up of Cabernet sauvignon and franc, merlot and petit verdot. «The idea came to me after Sanremo. Covid blocked everything but then started again more convinced than ever. I have always been enthusiastic about Podere Sapaio also the labels, simple, extremely elegant and immediately recognizable. So I chose the same graphic studio, that of Aldo Segat and I am very satisfied with the final result ». “Above all, I found great availability in the owner, Massimo Piccin who immediately opened the doors to me to carry out the project and it is not a one-off because we are already making the blend for 2021”. “It’s not a song-related gadget – continues Nigiotti – but an important and quality project, which has just started but which I want to strengthen over time. Born from a passion, always with fun at the base but it is a serious matter. Music remains my life, but wine can also find its space. The only difference – he concludes – is that the songs are born a bit of a gut, more immediate, in the wine you need instead of time, knowing how to wait for the beauty of something you want. And the results after the wait pay off for everything: a strong but good wine, which goes down just as well as my grandfather ».
